UniBE mobility students, UniBE ESKAS doctoral students, and scholarship or social fund recipients

Registration

UniBE mobility students and UniBE ESKAS doctoral students may register for the courses, are exempt from course fees, and do not have to provide any additional documents.

Scholarship or social fund recipients may register for the courses and are exempt from course fees if they can confirm their status on registration.

Registration for semester courses opens approximately two weeks before the start of the semester. The exact date and a link to the placement test will be published in German and English.

  • You have never attended a UniBE language semester course: the placement test is obligatory. You can only register for a course after taking the placement test. (The number of participants is limited to 20 per course.)
  • You have an international language certificate (not older than 12 months: please contact the secretariat (info.daf@unibe.ch or info.aes@unibe.ch). In this case, you can be exempted from the placement test.
  • You successfully completed a semester course last semester: you will receive a link to register for a course at your target level.

If a course is full, you can register for a place on the waiting list. You will be informed by email if you can join the course. Please check your emails regularly.

You can register for a block course without a placement test. Further information including registration deadlines can be found here.

After the course begins, you will receive a payment link by email.
