As a business, the University of Bern has set itself the goal of carefully managing ecological, economic and social resources. It is working continually to improve its performance in this area.
Sustainability is a complex issue in all of the university's business activities, covering everything from reducing energy and resource consumption and environmental impact (emissions, waste, etc.) to promoting family and equality-friendly working conditions. Therefore, the University of Bern has set itself the goal of continually improving its performance in all three dimensions of sustainability (social, economic and ecological) across all of its business operations.
