In 2010, the United Nations General Assembly declared access to clean water to be a human right. This promise has by no means been fulfilled for everyone – climate change is also making the situation worse. There is a lack of sufficient and clean water. The search for solutions, to which science must contribute an important part, is therefore of great importance. These solutions lie in the area of sustainable development - a strategic focus of the University of Bern in your Strategy 2030.
