Universität Bern wins ENLIGHT Teaching and Learning Award
Lara Lundsgaard-Hansen, Sara Frey and Zar Chi Aye from the Centre for Development and Environment (CDE) won the ENLIGHT Teaching and Learning award for their course “Be fair, contextually aware, and conflict-sensitive: key competences for sustainability transformations”.
This masters’ seminar is about how we behave and cooperate in inter-cultural and inter-contextual collaborations such as international projects between Global North and Global South partners. The overall aim of the seminar is to make these collaborations fairer and more equitable, more contextually aware and respectful, more conflict-sensitive and safe, and more mindful, through fostering necessary key competences of the students – our future change agents.
The award ceremony at the ENLIGHT Teaching and Learning Conference in Uppsala provided an opportunity to showcase the University of Bern's outstanding teaching to an international audience.
The next Teaching and Learning Conference will take place in Bern from October 22 to 24, 2026.
