Opening an account

Your salary will be paid into your Swiss account. You should therefore open an account soon after your arrival. (This generally does not raise any problems.)

To open an account, it is necessary to produce a Swiss residence permit. If this has yet to be issued, banks sometimes accept the "confirmation of registration". Depending on your nationality, you may be asked to provide additional forms or documents.
