Language skills

Give precise information about your language skills (written and spoken). Language qualifications and periods abroad legitimize your language knowledge in your CV. Provide details of your language skills in two columns. Left-hand column: list your languages. Right-hand column: details about your language knowledge. To rate your language skills, you can use the European Council's CEFR scale, which uses levels A1 to C2. Potential descriptors for language skills also include: basic knowledge, good knowledge, very good knowledge, fluent, business fluent, mother tongue.

You can list periods abroad/language qualifications for each language in the right-hand column (specify the length of the period in the left-hand column).

If you are not sufficiently skilled in a language that is expressly requested in the job advertisement, you should state, if necessary, your willingness to acquire the skill that you lack as soon as possible.
