Climate Scenarios CH2025

The Swiss climate scenarios CH2025 are a further development of the existing national climate scenarios CH2018. For the first time, the updated scenarios include a sub-chapter on climate change and cities. The new climate scenarios were presented in November 2025.

The ‘Bern Urban Climate’ research group developed the ‘Urban Scenarios’ sub-chapter in collaboration with MeteoSwiss. For a case study, historical (1973) and current (2018–2024) measurement data for the city of Bern were analysed to discuss the changing heat stress in Swiss cities. The scientific publication is currently under review.
