Disability Rights Action Days
The UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities has been in force in Switzerland since 2014, while the Disability Equality Act has formed an important legal basis since 2004. Both aim to promote, protect, and guarantee the human rights and fundamental freedoms of people with disabilities on an equal basis with others and also to strengthen their dignity. In honor of these two milestones, the National Disability Rights Action Days will take place from May 15 to June 15. These actions aim to highlight opportunities for improvement, emphasize positive examples and promote collective commitment.
As part of the Disability Rights Action Days, the University of Bern's Office for Equal Opportunities is organizing a series of diverse events.
These events aim to raise awareness of the rights and needs of people with disabilities at the University of Bern and contribute to the creation of a more inclusive university environment.
The events are held in German. More information you will find on the german website.
