Are you looking for a home away from home and value community as much as your private space? Then this opportunity might be just right for you:

We are looking for a couple, preferably with or without a child, to join our rural shared apartment (12 rooms on two floors) close to the city. Your private room is very large (33 m2) and bright, including an entrance area and walk-in closet (5 m2) —> see photos. The room is suitable for a couple, but also a single person or single parent is welcome. If needed, there might also be the possibility to rent a second, smaller room. The rent for the 33m2 room is approximately 1,500 CHF (including utilities) for a couple. This includes many shared spaces that we use together.

We live in a charming two-story manor house in Bolligen with a knight's hall, living room, office, hobby room/guest room, dishwasher, garden, and sauna, on the edge of the village, very close to the forest. It takes 20 minutes by bike to reach the city of Bern. Public transportation connections are excellent, right outside the door, and there's even a Moonliner on weekends!

Here at Hubi, Alexi, Debby, Fabienne, Livia, Patrick, Felicia, Lalya, and Colette (aged 24-47) live with four children (aged 1-7) named Jaron, Emilia, Eyleen, and Orpheas.

We enjoy communal activities such as dinners, outdoor activities, game nights, sauna sessions, gardening, and jogging. At the same time, we have individual rhythms, and many of us pursue our own projects and hobbies (Critical Mass, Reitschul-choir, yoga, playing guitar, hiking, acro-yoga, cycling).

Our shared apartment fosters a friendly and helpful atmosphere among us. We value maintaining a balance between exuberance, spontaneity, mindfulness, and tranquility in our home. Open and clear communication is important to us; we have a meeting about once a month. We share all basic groceries and maintain the house with a cleaning schedule. You should be able to cook dinner for everyone twice a month.

Unfortunately, pets are not welcome.

Alexi and Livia will be going abroad with their two children from August 2024 for one year, which is why their lovely room will be available for one year.
