LMS Evaluation / Future viability of the learning platforms

Our central learning platform ILIAS is used intensively by students and lecturers for course preparation and digital exams. However, the open-source system has been in use for almost 20 years. It has accumulated technical debt over the years and only partially meets modern requirements for accessibility, security, and usability.
