The University of Bern is characterized by excellent and flexible teaching. To ensure this remains the case in the future, our digital teaching administration systems and platforms must be modernized. The Audit on Study and Student Administration (PASS-Audit) revealed that our historically evolved systems are reaching their limits. Major dependencies on external providers and individuals, insufficiently optimized value streams, aging technologies, and heterogeneous infrastructures pose a risk to future teaching operations.
With the "Digitalization Initiative for Teaching" program, we are equipping the central core services of the Vice-Rectorate for Teaching for the future: ensuring greater stability, seamless processes, user-friendliness, and accessibility. The package bundles several closely coordinated projects under one program.
