Estonian National Scholarships for international students, researchers, and academic staff for the academic year 2026-2027

The Estonian Ministry of Education and Research and Education and Youth Board offer scholarships for students for participation in summer schools at Estonian higher education institutions and mobility grants for researchers and academic staff.

 

  • Summer School Scholarships
    Support for international BA, MA, and PhD students to participate in summer schools in Estonia, focusing on Estonian language and culture or English‑taught study programmes. Scholarships cover course participation and accommodation for stays of up to 4 weeks.

 

  • Grants for Researchers and Academic Staff
    Support for researchers and academic staff from abroad for research, teaching, or academic collaboration with Estonian higher education institutions. Grants are available for short-term and long-term academic stays.

DUO-Korea 2026

DUO-Korea Programmes aims to promote exchanges of people between Korea and 30 ASEM European countries. Under this programme, students can receive financial support for their exchange study in Korea.

Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Scholarships for International Students and Researchers 2026/2027

For the 2026/2027 academic year 27 scholarships are offered to Switzerland. Scholarships are available for

  • academic degrees such as Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctorate;
  • advanced research opportunities in science, technology, and the humanities;
  • language study, and short-term and student exchange programs.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must be 16 years of age or older.
  • Applicants must hold a valid passport with at least six (6) months’ validity from the intended date of entry to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  • Applicants must provide proof of proficiency in the language of instruction of the chosen study programme.
    • Exception: applicants applying for Arabic language studies are exempt from this requirement.

Kazakhstan Government Scholarship : JSC “Center for International Programs” 2026-2027

The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan offers multilateral scholarships to international students (undergraduate, graduate, and PhD) who wish to pursue a degree in Kazakhstan.

 

Japanese Government MEXT scholarship 2027: Research Students

Fields:
Fields of study must be subjects which applicants will be able to study and research in graduate courses at Japanese universities.

The Japanese Government's Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology  offers scholarships to students of Switzerland and Liechtenstein who wish to study in graduate courses at Japanese universities as research students under the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship Program.


Scholarships for talented students from all over the world for studies in Slovakia 2026/2027

The application registration is not yet open. The opening of the application round for 2026/2027 is expected in June. The official start date will be announced on the scholarship scheme website.

The Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth of the Slovak Republic offers scholarships to all international students, including Slovaks living abroad, who are planning to undertake higher education in Slovakia in the academic year 2026/2027. 

The scholarships are offered for full-time bachelor's, full-time combined bachelor's and master's studies, and full-time master's studies at a selected public Slovak higher education institution (HEI).

  • A total of 150 bachelor's studies scholarships are available for applicants from abroad who intend to pursue their bachelor's studies in Slovakia in the academic year 2026/2027.
  • A total of 45 master's studies scholarships are available for students who were supported by the previous scholarship scheme under the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP) at the bachelor's level as well as for applicants from abroad who intend to pursue their master's studies in Slovakia in the academic year 2026/2027.
  • The scholarship does not apply to doctoral studies.

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • citizenship of a country other than Slovakia (passport or national ID for EU/EEA/CH)
  • Dual citizenship including Slovak and Swiss is allowed.
  • no permanent or temporary residence in Slovakia since 1 January 2021, with exceptions for Erasmus+, ESC, academic mobility, or language/professional preparation courses, or previous RRP‑funded bachelor students
  • no prior study at a high school or HEI in Slovakia, except academic mobilities
  • completed secondary education (for bachelor/combined applicants) or first‑level HE (for master applicants)
  • admission or application to a public Slovak HEI for a supported full‑time programme
  • full‑time, in‑person study programme
  • no upper age limit; under‑18 applicants require signed parental consent

SAT scores are the only selection criterion:

  • minimum required SAT score: 1100
  • Only SAT scores obtained from 1 January 2021 onwards will be accepted.
  • SAT test dates for 2026/2027: 2 May 2026 and 6 June 2026
  • The SAT test is mandatory and cannot be substituted or waived.
