International Bachelor Summer School for Climate Change Research
Confronting Climate Change – From Science to Policy
The University of Bern’s International Bachelors Summer School “Confronting Climate Change – From Science to Policy” will address the highly complex global challenge of climate change from 5 – 16 August 2019, in Bern, Switzerland.
This Summer School is open to motivated bachelor students interested in climate-change research, enrolled in one of the following fields of study: Natural/Climate Sciences, Economics, Social Sciences or Law.
Successful applicants can look forward to learning directly from internationally renowned scientists from these diverse fields, while focusing on the physical climate system, climate economics; governance and knowledge; and intercultural communication. A field trip to the Swiss Alps to High Altitude Research Station Jungfraujoch and the Great Aletsch Glacier to view and better understand the effects of climate change is also included.
