and you have not yet attended a semester course at the Language Center in the target language, or you did so more than two semesters ago.

= the personal details questionnaire and the online placement test are OBLIGATORY

The online placement tests open a few weeks before the start of the semester. Here you can find further information about the tests for English and German. Once you have taken the placement test, you can register for a course at your target level on ILIAS.

Or you have obtained an internationally recognized language certificate within the last 12 months (please send us a scan of this certificate by e-mail).

= You do not need to take the placement test. At the beginning of registration, you will receive both the link to the personal details questionnaire and the link to the courses corresponding to your language level on ILIAS.
