The University Executive Board has defined guidelines with respect to the ownership, protection and exploitation of intellectual property at the University of Bern.

Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property (IPI)
The Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property (IPI) is mandated to examine, grant and administer industrial property rights in Switzerland. Also, it supports innovators with various services (also see below) and gives an introductory overview of IP rights.
Before contacting the IPI, we suggest to researchers of the University of Bern to coordinate the preparation of the request to IPI with Unictectra.
