Workshop for University staff

Improving team culture through psychological safety

Dienstag, 24.03.2026, 12:15 Uhr

Psychological safety is the "belief that one will not be punished or humiliated for speaking up with ideas, questions, concerns, or mistakes, and that the team is safe for interpersonal risk taking" (Amy Edmondson, 1999). As such, it is crucial for team members to feel safe to learn, to critize and to contribute. This short workshop will introduce the concept, show its merits for research groups and provide an outlook on how to implement psychological safety in one's own team.
