Perspective projects give young researchers at the University of Bern the opportunity to apply for financial support for digitalisation-related project ideas. Applications are limited to a maximum of CHF 20,000 and serve to strengthen their own academic profile. There is an annual submission deadline: Next submission deadline: 15 September 2023, 12:00 noon

In cooperation with the Intermediate Staff Association of the University of Bern (Mittelbauvereinigung), the Vice-Rectorate Research calls for proposals to the Fund for the Promotion of Young Researchers twice a year. The fund aims to encourage networking activities of young researchers from doctoral study (PhD) level upwards. In an efficient und quick procedure, original and innovative ideas that strengthen independence and personal skills are financed with a max. of CHF 5,000.

ESKAS (Eidgenössische Stipendienkommission für ausländische Studierende) is the Federal Commission for the Award of Scholarships to Foreign Students. The purpose of the ESKAS Commission is to award Federal Excellence Scholarships to young researchers from abroad at the pre-doctoral, doctoral, and postdoctoral levels, as well as art scholarships for students at the Master's level. The goal of ESKAS is to promote international exchange and research collaboration.
