Reference or Plagiarism?
Prominent cases of plagiarism with far-reaching consequences for those concerned result in an increasing amount of uncertainty for students: Am I committing plagiarism? What are the boundaries of plagiarism or at what point am I committing plagiarism?
The course provides comprehensive knowledge on the problem area of "Plagiarism and citing correctly". It particularly focuses on the following: When is plagiarism evident? How does plagiarism arise? What is the legal background? How do I cite correctly? How can I avoid plagiarism through organized work? The course thus deals with a critical aspect of academic work and writing.
