Course conditions and terms of business
Courses require registration and are usually subject to a charge.
Students at the University and University of Teacher Education Bern as well as holders of Unisport ID take priority for course registrations. During the first week after the opening of online registration only they can sign up. From the second week students from other Swiss universities and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETHZ)/Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) are allowed to register.
It is possible to register for courses online, by phone or in person at the counter of the University Sports office. Any registrations made by e-mail will not be processed. Preregistration for courses will not be accepted.
The registration is binding and the course fees are payable within 30 days of registering. Once this payment deadline has passed, the course fees will be invoiced along with a reminder fee of CHF 30.
Course cancellations must be directed to the University Sports office (email@example.com). As a basic principle, there is no right to a refund of the course fees. Participants are not permitted to pass on places to others directly.
The course fees minus a processing fee of CHF 30 may only be refunded in the following cases:
- If University Sports can give the place on the course to someone on the waiting list.
- If a written cancellation is sent to firstname.lastname@example.org due to an accident or illness by midnight on the day before the course is due to start. The original doctor’s note must be presented to the University Sports office within seven days of canceling, otherwise you will lose your right to a refund.
We recommend taking out cancellation insurance.
If University Sports Bern cancels the course, the course fees will be refunded in full.
Registration for national and international competitions can be completed online and is a binding commitment in every case. Any entry and travel fees are payable within 10 days of registering.
Cancellations must be directed to the responsible area managers. As a basic principle, there is no right to a refund of the fees. Participants are not permitted to pass on places to others directly. If a cancellation is made early enough that the place can be taken by a substitute, a refund will be given less the expenses incurred and a processing fee of CHF 30.00.
Please note that University Sports is bound by the terms and conditions of the organizer and travel provider. We recommend taking out cancellation insurance.
