Bibliothek Anglistik

The English Department Library is the library of the Department of English Languages and Literature and a sub-library of University Library Bern. Its collections are open to the public but primarily geared towards the needs of members of the university and students.

The contents of the English Department Library correspond with the research priorities of the Department of English Languages and Literature. Literature is collected from the fields of:

  • Medieval English language and literature
  • Modern English literature
  • North American literature
  • Postcolonial English literature
  • Literary theory
  • Modern English linguistics
  • Historical linguistics

We are also happy to accept purchase proposals by e-mail or form.

All media of the English Department Library can be found on swissbib Basel Bern.
