Cantonal Matura Commission (CMC)
The Cantonal Matura Commission is the body that advises the Ministry of Education on matters relating to secondary education and is responsible in particular for the coordination and quality assurance of the Matura and Passerelle school-leaving examinations for admission to university.
It comprises key experts in the examination subjects and representatives from university degree programs without a corresponding Matura examination subject.
Cantonal Examination Committee for Upper-Secondary Specialized Schools (KPFMS)
The Cantonal Examination Committee for Upper-Secondary Specialized Schools oversees and coordinates school-leaving examinations for upper-secondary specialized schools and ensures the quality of these qualifications. It is also responsible for the coordination and quality assurance of the specialized Matura examinations in Health, Social Care and Education.
It comprises key experts in the examination subjects and representatives from upper-secondary specialized schools as well as from educational institutions accepting students.
