Kendo, which is descended from the swordsmanship of the samurai, is performed using a bamboo stick according to fixed attacking moves and parries. As with the other combat sports, harmony between body and mind is also important here. Not restricted to any specific age or sex, kendo is a good method for both physical and mental development. It is particularly suitable for supporting or building on the following aspects:

Physically: Development of strength, speed, skill and correct posture

Socially: Improvement in levels of attention and decisiveness, development of sense of responsibility and self-reliance, respect for other people while complying with ceremony.
