Swiss government excellence scholarships for foreign scholars and artists
For information on the scholarship and the application procedure, contact the Federal Commission for Scholarships for Foreign Students (FCS) or the Swiss embassy in your home country.
The candidates are preselected by the relevant institution of their country as well as Swiss diplomatic representatives.
The Federal Commission for Scholarships for Foreign Students (FCS) decides who is eligible for a scholarship.
Tip when applying for a federal scholarship:
For a complete application for a federal scholarship, candidates require a written letter from a professor at the host university confirming that he/she is willing to supervise the candidate in question.
We recommend you look at the university website to find the institute or research group that corresponds to your topic. Then contact the institute or professor personally: Introduce yourself and explain your intentions during a course of study, also mentioning that you have applied for a federal scholarship. Furthermore include your academic CV as well as your chosen topic of research.
