Bern, the Swiss Capital, is located in the heart of the country. It is easily accessible from anywhere in the country and makes an excellent starting point for interesting excursions. Bern has direct connections to the international rail network via the Swiss federal railway operator SBB.
Arrival by car
The Bern motorway interchange is situated on European motorway E4, making it easy to reach by private car. Bern's inner city, however, is largely closed to through traffic. Please observe the parking guidance system, which provides information on how to reach covered car parks from all motorway exits and indicates how many spaces are available in each.
